Nursing
Students use the nursing process to solve complex health problems. This includes knowledge of economics, nursing research, ethics-legal issues, as well as economics in order to influence client health outcomes. This course covers concepts and applications that can be applied to adults later in life. It includes grief and loss, palliative and death and dying.
Nursing is a longer course than any other. It’s 44-weeks long. This means that you will get eight weeks of annual leaves, which are fixed for the length of your course. An average week is comprised of lectures, Clinical Skills Centre, small tutorials and private study.
Most nurses begin with an associate, bachelor or master’s degree in Nursing. However, some will continue their education to obtain a master’s or PhD to further their careers. To become a registered nurse (RN), you will need to pass the NCLEXRN exam regardless of what degree you choose.
You will learn how to care for patients and science. It depends on which school you go to, but it is likely that a general orientation for nursing students will be offered.
